The findings published in Current Diabetes Reports are based on the study of several possible connections between type 2 diabetes and hearing deterioration.
"A link between diabetes and hearing impairment in human subjects appeared in some, but not all studies."
"Direct comparison of these studies is complicated, due to the lack of continuity in defining the deterioration of hearing and other factors," said one of the researchers of this study, Elizabeth Helzner.
